Mystery Bone Identified!

Thanks to my friend Jill, the mystery bone has been identified! It is a Guinea Fowl pelvis! A couple weeks ago we lost 3 birds to critters, and here I said "two other bones were by it that looked like chicken leg bones...." and I still didn't figure it out! Duh!
This is a site I found with a rough drawing:

Here is another site that shows how the pelvis sits on the legs.

Very interesting.....

Until later...Karen and Tripp

I can't believe there is a website about this and you found it. I must go there to see how it actually sat on the legs.

We used to have a dog that drug bones out of the woods across the street. I sure could have used this website then. LOL

Glad your mystery is solved.

Karen,
Glad to see that the mystery was solved. I was really starting to believe that there were aliens among us.
To answer your question about Kirstin siblings. Yes, I said siblings. Kirstin has 3 older siblings, all of who are now on their own so Kirstin is now our only child at home. She has 1 older brother Derrick & 2 older sisters-Ashley & Jamie. Kirstin was an oops as some people might say, but she was the best oops a person could ask for. She keeps me sane & young at heart.
Good luck on the T.I.P. program, let me know how it goes. I toy with the idea of doing that someday.
You better post some pics of your new charges.
Until later.
Take care,
Priscilla
