Our garden in July 2014....

Everything is growing and there is nothing like a nice big garden.....

This volunteer sunflower was taller than the tomato ladders.

Chickory around the bee hives...

Me in the sunflowers.....

I can't get over the transformation a sunflower makes while it is maturing...

Look close...there is a bumble bee...

This cabbage head got HUGE!!!!

Can you tell I love sunflowers?  :-)

A bumble bee on the flowers at the front of the honey bee hive...

Nothing like a nice big bucket of cherry tomatoes!  Yum yum!

Brian did a lot of canning this year....his parents got him a canner for his birthday, and he uses the heck out of it!  I don't want to break it....so he does all the canning.  Hee hee!  ;-)

The garden is hard work, the weeds usually overtake things, but we still love it!  It provides food to us, friends and the critters.

Until later...Karen and Tripp who loves to chew on sunflower stalks...

Are those tomatoes for real? They’ve grown so perfectly red and ripe! Is that your usual harvest, or did you get a particularly good one this time? Anyway, your garden looks amazing, especially those sunflowers that you really love! Thanks for sharing this post with us, Karen. All the best!

Thank you! :-) Yep, they are the real deal, and most of the time we get some great ones like this. We had one year where we got behind on everything and nothing was staked up, so the crop was not that great. Lots for eating but nothing for canning. I just noticed a bunch of volunteer sunflowers coming up again.....I guess we will transplant a bunch this year because last year they were a little thick. Hee hee!
